Step 1: Locate the Vehicle’s Electric Brake Control Harness Connector
- The electric brake control harness connector is located:
- Underneath the dashboard
- To the left of the steering column, near the emergency brake pedal.
- It is typically taped to another harness and will feature a 4-pin connector that matches the adapter’s connector.
Step 2: Connect the Adapter
- Plug the brake control adapter into the 4-pin connector on the vehicle’s brake control harness.
- Connect the opposite end of the adapter to the brake controller.
- Follow the brake control manufacturer’s installation instructions for wiring and mounting the unit.
CAUTION:
Plug the adapter into the brake controller before attaching it to the vehicle connector.
Step 3: Complete Installation and Testing
- Mount the brake controller as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Perform all test procedures recommended by the brake controller manufacturer to verify proper operation.

- Do NOT overload the circuit:

Mounting Instructions:

Select a Suitable Mounting Location:
- Must be securely mounted to a solid surface.
- Must be within easy reach of the driver.
- Ensure the area behind the mounting location is clear before drilling.
