The Taillight Converter with Integrated Circuit Protection is designed to adapt import and domestic vehicles with separate turn and stop lights (3 wire system) to standard trailer taillight wiring (2 wire system). This unit is rated for up to 2.1 amps for Turns/Stops circuits and 7.5 amps for the Taillight circuit. It is compatible with both LED/Incandescent bulbs in both the vehicle and trailer. The converter is equipped with integrated re-settable Short Circuit and Overload protection to safeguard itself and the tow vehicle from shorts and installation wiring mishaps. It is designed not to send feedback through the vehicle circuits and has all solid-state components in potted encapsulation. Please note that it will not work with vehicles with low-side switch. The Prodigy P2 electric brake controller supplies power to your tow vehicle's brakes proportionally. This means that your trailer brakes at the same time and with the same strength as your vehicle - even in reverse gear. The P2 also cuts power to the trailer's brakes when your vehicle is stopped, extending the life of the magnets and brake shoes in the trailer's brake assemblies. The Prodigy P2 features a boost feature that gives you more initial braking power for towing heavier loads. The boost setting sends 13 or 25 percent more power (depending on which setting you choose) back to the trailer brakes, compensating for heavier loads.
