REESE® sliders works by moving – or sliding - your fifth wheel hitch toward the rear of your truck, so the pin position is moved temporarily behind the rear axle, to provide more room for tighter maneuvering at low speeds. Without a slider, the front – or nose – of your trailer could hit and potentially damage your truck cab when you’re trying to turn. Therefore, a slider is recommended for any short-bed pickup, so you can enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
