ZCI sensor technology and direct connection to the tow vehicle battery eliminates all electrical connection and interference with the tow vehicle electrical system. This kit is compatible with vehicles that have a 12-volt system only. No cutting or splicing of vehicle wiring is required. It isolates trailer light operation from the tow vehicle's electrical system and works with 2 or 3 wire systems. The ZCI module also works with PWM or Multiplexed systems requiring 2 or 3 wire hookup. Rated for up to 4.2 amps for turn/stop and 7.5 amps for taillight trailer circuits. A totally proportional electric trailer brake control, the new Primus® IQ is self-leveling, so no level adjustment is necessary. It utilizes the primary sensor technology from Prodigy® and includes the Boost feature, which allows users to apply more initial trailer braking when towing heavier trailers. The Primus® IQ works proportionally in reverse for backing into tough spots and includes a snap-in dash mounting clip and removable electrical connector for quick storage. The digital readout depicts a secure electrical connection, the amount of voltage delivery to the trailer brakes, and provides diagnostic features incorporated in the LED display. It utilizes the Plug-N-Play port for 2-plug adapters and has self-diagnostics features that will illuminate the LED readout when issues occur.
