Wiring Access Location:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Locate the vehicle battery on the driver side. Disconnect the negative terminal to prevent accidental electrical contact during installation. Secure the cable away from the battery.

Access Rear Hatch and Cargo Area:
- Open the rear hatch. Fold down the rear seats to access the cargo area.
- Remove the floorboard to expose the storage compartment. Remove all contents and set them aside.

Remove Rear Trim Panels:
- Use a panel trim removal tool to loosen the push fasteners securing the back-trim flap of the rear seat to the cargo bin cover.
- Remove the threshold trim between the rear hatch and the cargo bin. Loosen the fasteners holding the cargo bin cover in place.

Remove Cargo Bin:
- Use a 10mm socket to remove the three screws at the bottom of the cargo bin.
- Lift the cargo bin straight up and out of the vehicle.

Access Sidewall and Driver-Side Components:
- Use the trim tool to loosen the trim cover on the driver-side cargo hold-down.
- Use a 10mm socket to remove the cargo hold-down. Loosen the push fasteners securing the driver-side wall trim to access the white housing for the wiring harness.

Install Wiring Harness:
- Locate the white housing on the driver-side sidewall. Connect the custom wiring harness with the blue relay to the white housing.
- Secure the relay in place using zip ties to prevent vibration noise or rattling.

Connect Rear Bumper Wiring:
- Underneath the rear bumper, locate the dust-covered housing near the vehicle center.
- Remove the dust cover and connect the custom wiring harness with the 4-flat trailer connector to the housing.
- Mount the 4-flat connector near the hitch receiver and secure any excess wiring with cable ties to prevent interference.

Reassemble and Test:
- Verify the harness is functioning correctly by testing it with a test light, 4-flat tester, or a functioning trailer.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Reinstall all trim panels, the cargo bin, and the threshold trim. Store the 4-flat connector dust cover to protect it from corrosion.
