Specifications:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Appearance Panels:
- Detach both appearance panels by removing (10) 8mm and (4) 10mm screws. Retain these for reinstallation.

Remove Existing Flange Nuts:
- Remove the (4) M12 flange nuts located on the vehicle end panel. Spraying lubricant will assist with removal.
- Wash the lubricant off the studs if used.

Install Flat Washers:
- Place (3) flat washers on each stud.

Position Hitch:
- Rotate the hitch behind the fascia and raise it into position as shown in Figure 2.
- Reinstall the flange nuts removed in Step 2. Tighten finger-tight only.

Determine Spacer Requirement:
- Evaluate the number of spacers needed between the hitch bar and vehicle frame cross member. A minimum of one spacer is required.

Install Carriage Bolt and Spacer:
- Using the provided pull wire, insert a carriage bolt and one spacer into the vehicle frame cross member.
- Thread the pull wire through the spacer(s) and hitch bar as shown in Figure 4.
- Remove the pull wire and install a conical washer and hex nut onto the carriage bolt.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M12 fasteners to 62 Lb.-Ft. (84 N*M).
- Torque all 1/2”-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).

Reinstall Appearance Panels:
- Reinstall the appearance panel on the passenger side.
- The driver’s side appearance panel may need to be trimmed (see Figure 3) or returned to the owner. Obtain the owner’s permission before trimming.
Hardware List:
- (12) Flat Washers: 7/16”
- (3) Spacers
- (1) Carriage Bolt: 1/2”-13 x 2.50” GR5
- (1) Conical Washer: 1/2”
- (1) Hex Nut: 1/2”-13
- (1) Pull Wire: 1/2”
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Wiring Access Location:
- Near the rear of the vehicle, behind the bumper, or as indicated for vehicle-specific configurations.
Tools Required:
- Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
- Phillips head #2 screwdriver.
- Wire cutters, wire strippers/crimpers.
- Tester or volt meter.
- Socket and ratchet set.
- Double-sided tape (provided).
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Installation of the Module:

Determine the mounting location for the module.
- Use the provided double-sided tape to secure the module.
- Ensure the epoxy side of the module faces downward to prevent water buildup.

Connect the module’s black wire to a 12-gauge (or larger) power wire using a yellow butt connector.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the module:
- Drill a 3/32" hole if necessary and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and self-tapping screw.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.
Routing Power to the Battery:

Route the power wire to the vehicle’s positive battery terminal:
- Use the provided fuse holder, butt connector, and ring terminal to connect to the battery.
- Do not insert the 15-amp fuse yet.
Caution: Ensure the module is connected to a constant power source. Avoid using power sources that are interrupted when the vehicle is off.
Finalizing Installation:

Secure the wiring harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.
- Avoid areas where wires may be pinched, cut, or melted.

Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.

Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder and close the cap.

Test the installation with a test light or trailer to verify functionality.
- Test each function independently and in combination.
