Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Lower the exhaust system at the rubber isolators.
- Spray lubricant on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolators to aid removal.
- Support the exhaust to prevent damage.

Remove Flange Nuts:
- Remove four lower M10 bumper nuts: two on the passenger side and two on the driver side.

Place Flat Washers:
- Place 3/8" flat washers onto the weld studs on the end panel (4 places).

Raise Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with the weld studs.
- Reinstall the M10 flange nuts finger-tight.

Install Tie-Down Fasteners:
- Loosely install the remaining fasteners (Items 1–5) to the tie-down hook as shown in Figures 1 and 2.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten fasteners to the specified torque values:
- M10 fasteners: 55 Lb.-Ft. (75 N*M)
- 1/2" GR8 fasteners: 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N*M)
- Access to torque the bumper bracket nuts may require loosening the lower bumper fascia. Replace all fasteners and components after torqueing.
- Tighten fasteners to the specified torque values:

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Raise the exhaust back into position on the hangers.
Hardware List:
- (1) Carriage Bolt: 1/2"-13 x 1.75" GR8
- (1) Spacer: 0.250" x 1" x 2"
- (1) Spacer: 0.313" x 1" x 1.5"
- (1) Conical Washer: 1/2"
- (1) Hex Nut: 1/2"-13 GR2
- (4) Flat Washers: 3/8"
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they are securely tightened.
- Plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering if the hitch is removed.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working under the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Mazda CX-3

- Trim Panel Remover

- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)

- Wire Cutters
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Test Probe
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate Vehicle Wiring:
- Inside the rear cargo area, partially remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to access the wiring.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Separate the vehicle’s wiring connectors on the driver’s side, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow and brown wire between the vehicle wiring connectors. Ensure connectors are clean and fully locked into place.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector containing the green and red wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing.
- Repeat Step 2 for the passenger side using the T-Connector with the green and red wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole.
- Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw. Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing before securing.
Caution: Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to prevent damage or injury. Avoid drilling into exposed surfaces.

Mount the Black Box Module:
- Locate a flat, out-of-the-way surface and mount the black box module to prevent damage or rattling.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box and attach the provided black wire.
- Route the black wire along the exterior frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.
Warning: Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or fuel tanks.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided).
- Attach the ring terminal from the fuse holder to the Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.
Warning: Follow all warnings and precautions on the tow vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder and test the installation with a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the wiring harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and any other removed items.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
Specifications:
