Notes:
- Hitch requires 5/8” pin and clip.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Remove the existing bolt from the frame/bumper attachment (one from each side of the vehicle).
- If equipped, remove tow hooks and return them to the customer.
- Raise the hitch into position as shown in the diagram.
- Replace the bolt removed in Step 1 with either 7/16-14 x 1-1/2” bolts or M12 x 1.75 x 40mm bolts, depending on the vehicle model.
- Install the remaining fasteners as shown in the diagram.
- Tighten all fasteners as follows:
- 7/16 GR5 fasteners: 50 lb-ft (68 N·m)
- 1/2 GR5 fasteners: 50 lb-ft (68 N·m)
- M12 CL8.8 fasteners: 68 lb-ft (91 N·m)

- (2) 7/16-14 x 1.50 GR5 Hex Bolts
- (2) 1/2-13 x 1.75 GR5 Hex Bolts
- (2) M12 x 1.75 x 40mm CL8.8 Hex Bolts
- (2) 7/16” Conical Toothed Washers

Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Wiring Access Location:
- Behind the black plastic protective covers on each side of the vehicle, under the bumper.
Tools Required:
- Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
- Philips head screwdriver.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the black plastic protective covers on each side of the vehicle, under the bumper.
- Remove the two plastic trim fasteners on each side securing the protective covers to access the vehicle’s wiring harness.
- Note: On some vehicles, the wiring harness is located behind the protective cover and above the rear bumper bracket.

Beginning on the driver’s side:
- Remove the foam tape attached to the plugs and separate the vehicle’s wiring harness connectors.
- Caution: Be careful not to damage the locking tabs.
- Ensure the mating surfaces are free of dirt. Clean if necessary.

Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s connectors and lock into place.
- Verify the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secure.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the passenger’s side using the T-Connector end with the green wire.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the adapter, such as the vehicle frame or crossmember.
- Caution: Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

Bundle and secure wires to the vehicle’s crossmember using the provided cable ties.

Route the 4-flat connector to the center of the vehicle’s crossmember using the cable ties.

Reinstall the protective covers removed in step 1.
