Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Sway Bar Brackets (AWD Models Only):
- Remove the sway bar brackets on both sides and save the existing nuts.

Lower the Exhaust:
- Remove the four (4) rubber isolators supporting the muffler and tailpipe to lower the exhaust.

Position the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and align with the vehicle frame weldnuts.
- For AWD models, reinstall the sway bar brackets with the supplied spacer blocks between the lower vehicle attachment and the sway bar brackets, using the existing nuts for the lower attachment.

Install Fasteners:
- Install three (3) M10-1.25 x 40mm bolts and 3/8” conical toothed washers per side into the vehicle frame weldnuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M10 fasteners to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).

Reinstall the Exhaust:
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the rubber isolators.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Toyota Venza / Mitsubishi Outlander:
- Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate.
- Remove the threshold, trunk floor panels, and trays.
- Remove the cargo loops on both sides to allow the trim panels to be pulled away carefully.
Toyota Camry:
- Prepare the Trunk Area:
- Open the trunk and remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the corner felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the taillight wiring harness.
Common Steps for All Vehicles:

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On the driver’s side, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Check that the mating surfaces match the T-Connector ends, and clean all connectors if necessary.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Attach the T-Connector end with the yellow and brown wires to the driver’s side taillight harness.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs engaged.

Route the Passenger-Side Wiring:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger’s side taillight housing.
- Repeat step 3 using the T-Connector with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:

- Clean the grounding area, drill a 3/32” hole, and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

Mount the Black Converter Box:
- On the driver’s side, locate a flat surface and mount the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the converter box.
- Route the black wire through a grommet or along the existing wiring to the vehicle battery.
- Toyota Camry Hybrid: The battery is located inside the trunk.
Warning:
- Avoid routing near hot pipes, heat shields, or areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the provided yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the positive (+) battery cable and connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
- Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable and install the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

- Use the provided cable ties to secure the harness and prevent damage or rattling.
- Avoid areas where the wire may be pinched, cut, or melted.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall all panels, thresholds, storage covers, and floor coverings removed during the installation.

- Test and verify the installation using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
