Tools Required:

- Torque Wrench

Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Bumper Fascia, Taillights, and Bumper Beam:
- Remove screws using a T15 Torx bit:
- (3) screws in the wheel well liner.
- (2) screws in the middle underside area of the fascia.
- Pry/pull off the body trim piece at the upper wheel well to expose (1) screw. Remove using a 7 mm socket.
- Open the liftgate and remove (2) Phillips screws from the fascia, one on each side.
- Remove taillights:
- Pry off screw covers to expose (2) T15 screws on each side.
- Pull taillights gently rearward to release, unplug, and set aside.
- Gently pull off the bumper fascia and disconnect the electrical connector on the passenger side. Set the fascia aside.
- Remove the bumper beam by unscrewing (4) nuts on each side with a 15 mm socket.
2. Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch and bumper beam into position, aligning holes with studs in the vehicle's end panel.
- Sandwich the hitch between the bumper beam and the end panel.
- Reuse the existing nuts to secure the hitch.
- Torque all hitch fasteners to 38 lb-ft (52 N·m).
3. Reinstall Vehicle Fascia and Taillights:
- Reinstall the fascia and taillights in reverse order of steps 1-4.
- Use provided cable ties to attach the fascia to (2) bottom attachments, if needed.
- Ensure the fascia’s removable panel for hitch usage is in place when the hitch is not in use.
Hardware List:
- Reuse existing nuts for installation.
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Proper torque is essential to secure the hitch to the vehicle.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball before use.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle’s Trailer Harness Connector:
- The harness is located under the vehicle, behind the rear bumper, on the driver’s side.

Prepare the Connector:
- Remove the protective cap from the connector.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the connectors are clean and free of dirt.
- Insert the 4-Pin Tow-Plug Adapter and lock it into place. Ensure connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remainder of the T-One® T-Connector harness.
- Avoid areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Mount the 4-Flat End:
- Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

Install the Relays:
- Open the rear hatch and locate the storage compartment on the driver’s side of the cargo area.
- Insert the relays as shown.
Warning: Only replace relays with the same terminal layout as the relays included with the kit.

Test the Installation:
- Verify all connections are complete using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
