Step-by-Step Instructions:

Position Hitch:
- Place the hitch up to the frame with the large hole in the hitch flange over the rivet head near the end of the frame.
- Clamp the hitch into position.

Drill Holes:
- Using the holes in the brackets as a guide, drill eight (8) 1/2" holes into the truck frame.

Install Rear Fasteners:
- Insert a 1/2" carriage bolt with a small bolt plate and a two-hole plate through the rear hole in the frame.
- Install conical washers (teeth side against the hitch), lock washers, and hex nuts on the bolts.

Install Remaining Fasteners:
- Insert 1/2" carriage bolts with large bolt plates through the remaining holes.
- Install conical washers, lock washers, and hex nuts on the bolts.

Tighten All Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all 1/2"-13 Grade 5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m).

Safety Notes:
- Regularly check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels if the hitch is removed to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Always wear safety glasses and observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
