Installation Instructions for Ford Super Duty F-Series Trucks

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Frame Rails:
- Scrape off wax coating from the frame rails around the eight attachment points to ensure proper contact for the hitch installation.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with the holes in the frame rails.

Install Fasteners:
- Secure the hitch using the following hardware:
- (4) 9/16"-18 x 1.75" GR5 bolts
- (4) Spacer blocks (1/4" x 1-1/2" x 4", Part No. 1097-047)
- (4) 9/16"-18 flanged locknuts
- Ensure all fasteners are correctly positioned and tighten them loosely at first.
- Secure the hitch using the following hardware:

Tighten Fasteners:
- Using a torque wrench, tighten all 9/16"-18 GR5 fasteners to 110 lb-ft (149 N*m).

Adjust Spare Tire (if required):
- If spare tire or tire size variation affects the installation, adjust or loosen the spare tire to ensure the hitch fits properly.
Torque Specifications:
- 9/16"-18 GR5 bolts: 110 lb-ft (149 N*m)
