TRAILER LIGHT POWER MODULES
- Virtually eliminates additional electrical draw on the vehicle’s taillight circuits
- Ensures maximum trailer light brightness
- Powers the trailer’s stop, turn, tail and running lights without overloading vehicle electrical systems
- Compatible with:
- 2 & 3 wire systems
- PWM
- Multiplex
- LED tail lights
IDENTIFYING THE NEED FOR MODULITE
- Today’s vehicles have light gauge wire
- Computerized vehicle sensors monitor electrical current draw
- Without ModuLite the sensors may give false readings
- Adding additional towing lights w/o ModuLite may overload the system
- System problems and failure may occur without ModuLite
HOW IT WORKS
ModuLite connects directly to vehicle’s battery & powers the towing lightsModuLite provides from 2 .1 to 16 amps of power per circuit to the trailer lights, depending on the unit
INSTALLATION
ModuLite power modules typically install in 30 to 45 minutes depending on the ease of routing the power supply wire from the battery to the rear of the vehicle .WHEN YOU NEED MODULITE
- Trailer has more than one light assembly per side and is equipped with multiple clearance or running lights
- If the tow vehicle may tow a variety of different trailers
- Vehicle is equipped with lamp out sensors or other electronic devices that could be damaged by voltage fluctuations
- Owners manuals caution against adding additional loads to electrical circuits
TRAILER AMPERAGE REQUIREMENTS - INCANDESCENT
TRAILER AMPERAGE REQUIREMENTS - LED
WITHOUT MODULITE
- All the additional power required to supple the trailer lights (represented by the red line) pass through the vehicle’s electrical system including the fuse panel, turn signal switch, taillight harness and lamp out sensor if so equipped
WITH MODULE
- All the additional power required to supple the trailer lights (represented by the green line) is supplied directly from the battery . Only a small amount of power is required from the fuse panel, turn signal switch, taillight harness and lamp out sensor if so equipped, to signal when to illuminate the trailer lights
