Part 1: Class 2 Ball Mount (Part #45523)

CURT class 2 ball mounts are designed to be fast, easy and reliable for your light-duty or standard-duty towing needs. We produce our class 2 ball mounts using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and robotic welding. This provides the accuracy and consistency in our ball mounts that we pride ourselves on and ensures that you receive the exact towing product you expect from an industry-leading manufacturer. Like our class 1 ball mounts, CURT class 2 ball mounts are all made with 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" shanks and have a 3/4" trailer ball hole. A CURT class 2 ball mount is an excellent choice for full-size sedans, minivans, crossover SUVs and other vehicles that commonly use a class 2 trailer hitch. They are ideal for towing small boat trailers and utility trailers, popup campers and some recreational vehicle trailers such as those used to haul dirt bikes, motorcycles and ATVs (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). This CURT class 2 ball mount has a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs. It measures 11-1/4" long and has a rise of 3-1/8". To give our class 2 ball mounts the edge they need to go wherever the road takes you, we coat each one in a highly durable black powder coat that provides a long-lasting defense against rust, UV damage, scratching, scuffing and chipping.

Part 2: 1-7/8" Trailer Ball (Part #40001)

CURT 1-7/8" trailer balls are constructed from high-strength steel to match the towing power of your class 1 or class 2 trailer hitch and ball mount and come with fine threads on the shank for improved holding strength. Having a trailer ball that matches your coupler size is absolutely essential. At CURT, we engineer our trailer balls to be precisely fitted. When we stamp 1-7/8" into the top of each hitch ball, we actually mean 1-7/8". This CURT tow ball features a ball capacity of 2,000 lbs. It is able to tow most utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, smaller livestock trailers and some recreational vehicle haulers (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). As with any trailer, be sure that your towing equipment is capable of handling the load before hitching up. This trailer ball also features a 3/4" shank diameter, a 1-5/8" shank length, 0" of rise and a nickel-chrome finish to protect against corrosion and wear. Like all CURT trailer balls, our 1-7/8" balls are tested for your safety and meet all U.S. VESC specifications.

CURT 2" trailer hitch balls are constructed from quality steel and are made with precision to fit your 2" trailer coupler like a hand in a glove. They are able to tow most standard-duty and heavy-duty trailers such as utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, livestock trailers and recreational vehicle trailers for hauling ATVs, snowmobiles, personal watercraft and more. These tow balls are an excellent extension of your class 3 or class 4 trailer hitch and ball mount, and are the ideal choice for most pickup trucks and SUVs (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). This particular 2" trailer ball offers a ball capacity of 3,500 lbs. It features a 3/4" shank diameter, a 1-3/4" shank length, 0" of rise and a nickel-chrome finish to protect against rust and scratches. With its fine-threaded shank, this 2" trailer ball also offers an added measure of holding strength and provides smooth installation and torqueing.
