Installation Instructions for F2 Trailer Jack
General Installation Notes:
- Confirm no interference from the tow vehicle, tongue, ground, or other mounted accessories while stationary or in motion.
- Check for interference in all positions, including handle swing and swivel, before and after installation.
- The swivel mount height is pre-set and torqued by the factory for most applications.
Tools Required:
- Torque wrench
- Ratchet set
- 3/8” bolts with lock washers
- 1/2” bolt
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Weld-On Mounting Plate:
- The mounting plate is included only on weld-on models.
- All welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
- Position the plate with the flat surface against the trailer and align the top of the plate flush with the trailer tube.
- Weld completely around using a 3/16” fillet weld.
Adjusting Swivel Mount Height (If Necessary):
- Remove the jack from the trailer and loosen the two swivel fasteners until the slide block moves freely along the outer tube.
- Rotate the swivel bracket to the horizontal (3” mounting) position to access the upper bolt.
- Adjust the swivel mount to the desired height and re-torque to 60-70 ft-lbs.
- Check for proper swivel and pin engagement after adjustment.
Bolt-On Installation:
- Available for 3"x3", 3"x4", or 3"x5" trailer tubes only.
- Position the swivel bracket and U-bolts for proper mounting to the trailer.
- Tighten nuts and torque to 20-25 ft-lbs.
Optional Wheel Wedge:
- Assemble the optional wheel wedge as shown in the diagram and torque to 6-9 in-lbs.
- To activate, press downward until the wedge locks into place.
- To release, lift upward until the pressure is removed from the wheels.
- Note: The wheel wedge is not designed to act as a brake or wheel stop.
Footplate Assembly:
- Thread the footplate into the bottom of the jack tube.
- Torque the footplate to 60-70 ft-lbs.
Maintenance:
- Clean occasionally with mild soap and water.
- Apply light oil lubrication to pivot points for prolonged performance and appearance.
Safety Notes:
- Fully retract and rotate the jack into the stowed position before towing.
- Do not exceed the maximum rated capacity.
- Use only for vertical loading; avoid excessive side forces to prevent jack failure.
- Replace bent, broken, or worn parts before using.

- Coverage: Protects against defects in material and workmanship under normal use.

Installation Instructions for Jack Adapter Plate

Safety Warnings:

- Replace any bent, broken, or worn parts before using this product.
- Avoid excessive side forces; this jack is designed for vertical loading only.
- Do not weld "bolt-on" brackets or straps to the tongue.
Installation Instructions:

Prepare the Trailer:
- Block the tires of the trailer.
- Support the trailer tongue.

Remove Existing Hardware:
- Remove the locknut from the XP jack swivel assembly using a 3/4” wrench (Fig. 1).
- Discard the locknut and bushing.

Install the Adapter Plate:
- Place the adapter plate onto the jack mount, ensuring the letters "TOP" are legible.
- Seat the plate into the welded mount, aligning the locating tabs with the mount holes (Fig. 2).
- Secure with the new locknut provided and tighten to 65-75 ft-lbs.

Adjust Mount Height:
- Adjust the mount height of the F2 jack as needed.
- Refer to the F2 jack instruction sheet for further details.

Attach the Jack to the Adapter Plate:
- Secure the F2 jack to the adapter plate using 3/8” cap screws and lock washers (Fig. 3).
- Tighten the screws to 25-35 ft-lbs.
Limited Warranty:
- Coverage: The product is warranted to be free from material defects in material and workmanship:
- 5 years for premium products.
- 1 year for standard products.
- Exclusions:
- Normal wear and tear.
