How to Select

To select the right winch capacity:

1. Minimum Winch Capacity = Maximum Weight of Boat, Including Motor, Fuel, Gear ÷ 2
2. If shallow water or steep inclined launches are expected, divide the maximum weight by 1.5

Example Calculation:

• Boat, Motor, Fuel, Gear Weight = 1800 lbs
• Minimum Winch Capacity = 1800 ÷ 2 = 900 lbs
