Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Rear Underbody Panel:

• Use a 10mm socket to remove the screws securing the underbody panel.
• Carefully detach the panel and set it aside for modification or trimming if required.

2. Lower Exhaust:

• Use pliers to remove the rubber hangers holding the exhaust system in place.
• Apply soapy water to the hangers for easier removal.
• Support the exhaust to avoid damage during installation.

3. Prepare the Frame for Installation:

• Locate the factory-installed weld nuts inside the frame rails.
• Clean any debris or rust from the weld nuts to ensure proper bolt alignment.

4. Install Hitch:

• Raise the hitch into position, aligning the mounting holes with the weld nuts on the frame rails.
• Insert the provided bolts and conical washers (teeth side facing the hitch) into the weld nuts.
• Hand-tighten all bolts to hold the hitch in place.

5. Tighten Fasteners:

• Use a torque wrench to tighten all bolts to the specified torque value of 67 lb-ft (91 N·m).

6. Trim and Reinstall Underbody Panel:

• Measure and mark the underbody panel as per the provided trimming diagram.
• Use a utility knife to cut the panel along the marked lines.
• Reinstall the trimmed panel using the original fasteners.

7. Reinstall Exhaust:

• Reattach the rubber hangers to secure the exhaust system in place.
• Ensure the exhaust is properly aligned and supported.

• (4) Hex Bolts: M12 x 1.25
• (4) Conical Washers: 1/2"

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Dodge Durango

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Taillights:

   • Open the tailgate and remove the vehicle’s taillight assemblies by unscrewing the two clips on each side.
   • Carefully pry the housings away from the vehicle, avoiding damage to the alignment tabs.

2. Disconnect the Taillight Wiring Harness:

   • On both sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness.
   • Disconnect the harness connectors carefully to avoid breaking the locking tabs.
   • Clean all connectors to ensure proper connection.

3. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-One® T-Connector with the yellow wire between the driver-side vehicle wiring connectors.
   • Lock the connectors securely into place.

4. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the green wire and the 4-flat connector down through the opening behind the driver-side taillight.
   • Route the green wire harness along the underside of the vehicle and up through the opening behind the passenger-side taillight.
   • Repeat Step 3 for the passenger-side T-Connector.

   Warning:

   • Avoid routing the wires near hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or any areas that could pinch or damage the wires.

5. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver-side connectors.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

6. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
   • Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
   • Attach the fuse holder to the vehicle’s positive (+) battery cable using the provided ring terminal.
   • Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

7. Route the Black Wire:

   • Route the black 12-gauge wire from the engine compartment to the rear driver’s side of the vehicle.
   • Connect the wire to the black power wire on the T-One® T-Connector black box using the provided yellow butt connector.

   Warning:

   • Ensure the wire is routed safely, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, and areas that could pinch or damage the wire.

8. Reconnect the Battery:

   • Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
   • Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

   Warning:

   • All connections must be complete for the system to function properly. Test with a test light or trailer.

9. Mount the Black Box:

   • Mount the T-One® T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
   • Ensure the epoxy side of the box faces downward to prevent water buildup.

10. Secure the Wiring:

    • Use the provided cable ties to secure the wiring harness, avoiding areas where wires could be pinched, cut, or melted.

11. Reassemble the Vehicle:

    • Reinstall the taillight assemblies and any trim panels removed during installation.

12. Mount the 4-Flat Connector:

    • Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

Specifications:
