Installation Time:
- Approximately 60 minutes (for professional installers)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
For Long Bed Trucks:

Lower Spare Tire:
- Remove the spare tire from under the truck for ease of installation.
- Remove the existing M14 bolts from the frame rail ends and return them to the owner.

Remove OEM Mount:
- For trucks without a hitch, remove the OEM bumper mount (refer to relevant illustrations).

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the rear slotted holes with existing weldnuts on the truck frame rails and bumper.

Install M14 Fasteners:
- Attach the provided M14 bolts and conical washers (teeth side against the hitch) into the weldnuts.

Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a guide, mark two holes for drilling. Remove the hitch and drill 5/8" holes at the marked locations.
- Enlarge the forwardmost hole for easier bolt installation.

Reinstall Hitch:
- Reposition the hitch and reinstall the M14 fasteners.
- Insert 5/8" bolts and conical washers through the drilled holes.

Install Attachment Bars:
- Remove existing M14 bolts one frame rail at a time.
- Install attachment bars and secure with the provided 5/8" fasteners.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque M14 fasteners to 115 lb-ft (156 N*m).
- Torque 5/8" Grade 8 fasteners to 212 lb-ft (287 N*m).

Raise Spare Tire:
- Reinstall the spare tire.
For Short Bed Trucks:

Lower Spare Tire:
- Follow the same steps as for long bed trucks to remove the spare tire and bolts.

Trim Heat Shield:
- Remove two 8mm bolts securing the heat shield on the passenger side. Trim the heat shield and drill a 3/8" hole through the rib as needed.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with the rearmost weldnuts on the frame rails.

Install M14 Fasteners:
- Attach the provided M14 bolts and conical washers (teeth side against the hitch) into the weldnuts.

Drill and Reinstall Hitch:
- Mark and drill four 5/8" holes using the hitch as a guide.
- Reposition the hitch, install M14 fasteners, and secure the hitch with 5/8" bolts and washers.

Attach Heat Shield:
- Reinstall the heat shield using the forward bolt hole and provided cable tie.
- Ensure the heat shield is not sandwiched between the frame rail and the hitch.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque M14 fasteners to 115 lb-ft (156 N*m).
- Torque 5/8" Grade 8 fasteners to 212 lb-ft (287 N*m).

Raise Spare Tire:
- Reinstall the spare tire.

Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.

- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
