Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Rearward Hanger Bracket Bolts:
- Remove (2) 8mm bolts from the rearward hanger bracket on both sides of the vehicle.
- Remove (2) 8mm bolts from the forward hanger brackets.

Convertible Models Only:
- Remove the support member by taking off (14) 10mm bolts to access the forward hanger brackets.

Lower Exhaust:
- Detach the (4) hanger brackets to lower the exhaust.
- Use a ratchet strap to support the exhaust while it is lowered.

Install Carriage Bolts and Spacers:
- Fishwire 7/16” carriage bolts and spacers through the access hole in the frame rail.
- Pull bolts through the two bottom holes and one side hole in the frame rail, leaving fishwires attached.

Position Hitch:
- Lower the exhaust further using the ratchet strap if needed.
- Slide the hitch into position, ensuring side brackets are over the fishwires.

Secure Hitch:
- Remove fishwires and install conical washers and nuts on both sides of the hitch.
- Torque all 7/16”-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).

Reinstall Components:
- Reattach the hanger brackets and reinstall the M8 bolts removed earlier.
- For convertible models, reinstall the support member.
- Torque all M8 CL10.9 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M).
- Torque all M10 fasteners to 38 Lb.-Ft. (52 N*M).

Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they remain securely tightened.

- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.

- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Ford Mustang

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Partially remove the plastic threshold cover and felt trunk liner in the rear cargo area.
- Remove the top fasteners holding the threshold by rotating them 90° and gently pulling out until they release.
- Locate the connection points matching the ends of the T-Connector adapter on the back of each taillight housing.

Disconnect the Wiring Harness:
- Separate the vehicle wiring connectors, being careful not to damage the locking tabs.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the connectors are clean and free of dirt.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors.
- Ensure the locking tabs are secure and connectors are fully inserted.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger-side taillight housing.
- Repeat Step 3 for the passenger side using the T-Connector with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
- If necessary, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Inside the trunk, connect the black 12-gauge wire and the red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire either through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds to the engine compartment and up to the battery.
Warning:
- Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the vehicle’s positive battery cable and connect the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Warning:
- Ensure all connections are complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.

Secure the T-Connector Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the harness, avoiding areas where wires could be pinched or damaged.
- Mount the T-Connector black box on a flat surface using the provided double-sided tape.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the trunk threshold and felt trunk liner.
Specifications:
