Installation Time:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Spare Tire:
- Locate spare tire lowering tools under the passenger-side seat.
- Lower the spare tire and set it aside for reinstallation later.

Remove Bumper:
- Unplug the electrical connector at the driver-side frame rail.
- Pry out plastic connectors holding the bumper wiring to the OEM hitch.
- Remove (2) M10 bolts from behind the license plate with a 15mm socket.
- Remove (4) M10 nuts (2 each side) attaching the bumper to the OEM hitch using a 16mm socket.
- Support the bumper during this step and remove it.

Remove OEM Hitch:
- Remove (8) M14 bolts from the OEM hitch (4 each side, 3 in the side of the frame rail, and 1 in the bottom) using a 21mm socket.
- Save the bolts for reinstallation later.
- Remove the OEM hitch.

Remove Heat Shield Bolts:
- Remove (3) M6 bolts from the exhaust heat shields using a 10mm socket (1 from the driver-side frame rail and 2 from the passenger-side frame rail).
- Flatten heat shield tabs against the truck frame using a metal hammer.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the 3rd slot from the rear with the weldnut in the bottom of the frame.
- Install the shorter M14 bolt (removed earlier) through the hitch into the existing weldnut in the truck frame. Repeat for the other side.
- Fishwire the carriage bolts and spacers (offset holes) into the forward-most slot on the hitch.
- Fishwire carriage bolts and spacers into the remaining slots on the hitch.
- Install conical tooth washers (teeth toward hitch) and heavy hex nuts onto the carriage bolts. Repeat for both sides.

Install Bumper Brackets:
- Place bumper brackets into position.
- Install (2) long M14 fasteners (removed earlier) through the bumper bracket and truck frame.
- Install the 5/8” conical tooth washer (teeth toward hitch) and M14 nut.
- Install the 1/2” hex bolt and 1/2” conical tooth washer (teeth toward hitch) through the bumper bracket and hitch side bracket.
- Install another 1/2” conical washer (teeth toward hitch) and 1/2” hex nut onto the hex bolt. Repeat for both sides.

Install Bumper:
- Align studs in the bumper with holes in the hitch bumper bracket.
- Install 7/16” conical tooth washers (teeth toward bumper bracket) and M10 hex nuts onto the bumper studs.
- Install M10 bolts with 7/16” conical tooth washers (teeth toward bumper) through the holes in the bumper near the license plate area.
- Install 7/16” conical washers (teeth toward hitch) and M10 hex nuts onto the M10 bolts.
- Adjust the bumper position for proper alignment.

Reattach Electrical Connector:
- Plug in the electrical connector and secure it in position with zip ties.

Torque Fasteners:
- M14 fasteners: 100 lb-ft (136 N*m)
- 1/2”-13 GR8 fasteners: 110 lb-ft (149 N*m)
- 1/2”-13 GR5 fasteners: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)
- M10 fasteners: 42 lb-ft (57 N*m)

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- Raise the spare tire back into position.
- Return the OEM hitch and remaining fasteners to the vehicle owner.
Torque Specifications:
- M14 bolts: 100 lb-ft (136 N*m)
- 1/2”-13 GR8 bolts: 110 lb-ft (149 N*m)
- 1/2”-13 GR5 bolts: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)
- M10 bolts: 42 lb-ft (57 N*m)
