Step-by-Step Instructions:

Clean Access Holes:
- Using an M12x1.25 tap, clean the existing weldnuts on both sides of the vehicle frame to remove paint and debris.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and align it with the mounting holes in the vehicle frame.
- Loosely install six M12 bolts and six 1/2" conical washers (teeth side toward hitch).

Tighten Fasteners:
- Using a torque wrench, tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 ft-lbs (103 Nm).

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Nissan Rogue

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
- Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Hatch:
- Remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, and cargo trays to locate the vehicle’s wiring in the rear cargo area.
- Using a 10mm socket or wrench, remove the 10mm bolts securing the cargo hooks.

Access the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Remove two 10mm nuts from the taillight pocket on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Carefully slit the grommet to allow for the T-Connector wiring.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are securely engaged.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas where the wire could be pinched, cut, or damaged.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
- If no ground point is available, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing before securing.
Caution: Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the green wire behind the panels and along the threshold to the passenger-side taillight pocket.

Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are securely engaged.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided).
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Route the Power Wire:
- Starting from the front of the vehicle, route the black 12-gauge wire rearward along the frame rail, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect the Power Wire to the Black Box:
- Connect the black 12-gauge wire to the black power wire on the T-One® Connector black box using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace all panels, threshold covers, and storage items removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector through the driver’s side trim panel into the storage compartment and store it when not in use.
