Notes:
- Does not fit F-150 pickups with previously installed OEM hitches.
- On Flareside models, the vibration dampener assembly cannot be re-installed and must be permanently removed.
- Lowering the spare tire may ease installation.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning holes in the hitch side brackets with holes in the vehicle frame.
- Install 1/4 x 3 block and carriage bolt through the end of the frame into the rearmost slot on each side. Secure with lock washers and nuts. Finger-tighten only.
- Fishwire 1/4 x 3 blocks and carriage bolts (2 on each side) through the forwardmost square hole in the side of the frame rail and align with holes in the hitch side bracket. Secure with lock washers and nuts.
- Ensure blocks do not overlap inside the frame before tightening.
- Re-install the vibration dampener assembly (if applicable):
- Attach the dampener bracket to the dampener using (2) existing M10 fasteners.
- Tighten M10 fasteners to 38 lb-ft.
- Secure the assembly with 1/2” fasteners at the rearmost driver-side attachment point.
- Drill a 7/16” hole through the spring shackle bracket and the adjoining face of the dampener bracket.
- Install and tighten the existing M10 fastener to 38 lb-ft.
- Tighten all 1/2-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft.
- Raise the spare tire back into position.

- (6) 1/2-13 Hex Nuts
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
