Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Wheel Well Tab:
- Remove the retainer holding the wheel well tab to the bottom of the frame rail on the driver’s side.
- Trim the wheel well tab so that the hitch side bracket will sit flush against the bottom of the frame rail (see Figure 2).
Cut Key Hole Notch:
- Cut a keyhole notch in the rearmost hole of the frame rail on both sides to allow the 1” wide spacer to fit inside the frame.
Fishwire Carriage Bolts:
- Use the pull wires provided to install carriage bolts and spacers into the frame rail through the keyhole and forward holes.
- For the rearmost hole, fishwire the carriage bolts and spacer blocks through the hole and pull them back through.
Position Hitch:
- Raise the passenger side hitch bracket around the tailpipe first, then lift the driver’s side of the hitch into position onto the carriage bolts.
- Do not place the bracket on top of the wheel well tab.
Note: Be careful not to push bolts and spacers back into the frame.
Secure Hitch:
- Install conical toothed washers and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts.
Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 7/16”-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M) using a torque wrench.

(4) Carriage Bolts: 7/16”-14 x 1.50” GR5
(4) Hex Nuts: 7/16”-14
(4) Spacers: 3/16” x 1” x 2”
(4) Conical Toothed Washers: 7/16”
(4) Pull Wires: 7/16”

Safety Notes:

Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working under the vehicle.
Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
