Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Spare Tire:
- Remove the spare tire from the trunk's spare tire carrier.
- Detach the forward rubber isolator from the trunk pan and install the fasteners (Item 10 & 11) through the trunk pan. Return the plug to the vehicle owner.
Remove Plastic Fascia Covering:
- Detach the plastic fascia underneath the passenger side by removing three (3) Torx 25 screws and two (2) plastic hex nuts. Return the fascia to the vehicle owner.
Lower Exhaust:
- Remove the two (2) bolts from the exhaust hanger bracket and detach the forward rubber isolator. Support the exhaust as needed. Return the bolts to the owner.
Lower Fuel Vapor Canister:
- Lower the fuel vapor canister on the passenger side, if present.
Install Passenger-Side Fasteners:
- Use the pull wire to feed a 7/16" carriage bolt and spacer through the access slot in the passenger-side frame rail. Leave the pull wire attached. Bend the handle nut and insert it into the frame rail over the center hole location.
Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, pushing the 7/16" carriage bolt into the frame rail. Attach the spacer (Item 14) to the wire and pull it through the passenger-side bracket. Secure with fasteners. Loosely install the M12 bolt into the handle nut.
Driver-Side Installation:
- Rotate the exhaust hanger bracket forward to make space, then raise the hitch into place on the driver’s side. Reposition the exhaust bracket and attach using an M8 bolt and 3/8” conical washer through the hanger bracket slots.
Seal Trunk Pan:
- Install the 1/2"-13 hex nut and spacer onto Items 10 & 11 in the trunk pan. Use sealant to prevent exhaust fumes and water intrusion. Seal any existing drain holes in the trunk pan.
Tighten All Fasteners:
- Torque all fasteners to the specifications below:
  - M8 CL8.8 fasteners: 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M)
  - M12 CL8.8 fasteners: 70 Lb.-Ft. (95 N*M)
  - 7/16”-14 GR5 fasteners: 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M)
  - 1/2”-13 GR5 fasteners: 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
Reinstall Components:
- Reattach the fuel vapor canister, using 5/16” flat washers for spacing if needed, and reuse original M6 bolts.
- Reinstall the exhaust to the forward isolator.
- Replace the spare tire.

Safety Notes:

Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they remain securely tightened.
Plug all unused holes in the trunk pan to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
Observe safety precautions and wear eye protection while working under the vehicle.
Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
