Step-by-Step Instructions:
For RX350 Models:

Remove Tie-Down Bracket:
- Use a 17mm socket to remove the two bolts securing the tie-down bracket on the passenger side.
- Return the tie-down bracket to the vehicle owner.

Remove Weldnut Covers:
- Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the two plastic caps from the rearmost existing weldnuts on the driver side.
- Remove the rearmost rubber plug from the hole between the two weldnuts.

Trim Lower Fascia (for models after 2021):
- Remove two tabs from the sensor bracket behind the lower fascia, if present.
- Mark a 3"x3" trimming area using tape and a marker, centered from the edge of the bottom tab.
- Use a hacksaw to trim the marked area.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position over the existing weldnuts.
- Install two M12 bolts and conical washers on both sides.
- Bend the exhaust heat shield if necessary to prevent it from touching the hitch.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m).
For RX450h Models:

Remove Underbody Panel:
- Use a 10mm socket to remove 13 fasteners securing the underbody panel. One plunger-style fastener is located behind the wheel well trim on the driver side.
- Retain the underbody panel for reinstallation after trimming.

Remove Hole Plugs:
- Remove three rearmost hole plugs from the driver side frame rail using a flat head screwdriver.

Remove Tow Loop:
- Use a 17mm socket to remove the two M12 bolts securing the tow loop on the passenger side. Return the tow loop and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Lower Exhaust:
- Use a 12mm socket to remove two M8 bolts holding the exhaust hanger on the passenger side. Retain the bolts for reinstallation.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position over the exhaust.
- Install two M12 bolts and conical washers on both sides.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 lb-ft (103 N·m) and M8 fasteners to 27 lb-ft (37 N·m).

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Use a 12mm socket to reinstall the M8 bolts, conical washers, and hex nuts.

Trim Underbody Panel:
- Use a hacksaw to trim the appearance panel in two places. Obtain vehicle owner approval before trimming.

Reinstall Underbody Panel:
- Use the 13 retained fasteners to reinstall the appearance panel.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Rear Hatch:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
- On the passenger side, remove the floor covers and storage tray.

Partially Remove Interior Trim Panels:
- On the passenger side, partially remove the rear interior trim panel.
- Remove the necessary trim panel fasteners and carefully set aside all removed items to avoid damage.

Locate the Vehicle’s 10-Pin Connector:
- Behind the rear interior trim panel, locate the vehicle’s 10-pin connector.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the vehicle harness connectors match the 10-pin tow plug adapter ends.

Connect the 10-Pin Tow Plug Adapter:
- Insert the 10-pin tow plug adapter into the mating connector and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secure.

Locate the Vehicle’s Factory Tow Harness Connector:
- Behind the bumper, locate the factory tow harness connector.
- This connector will mate with the tow plug.

Connect the Tow Plug:
- Remove the protective cap from the factory tow harness connector.
- Clean the mating surfaces if necessary.
- Insert the tow plug into the connector and ensure it is fully inserted with locking tabs secure.
Warning:
- All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer to ensure functionality.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure Loose Wires:
- Secure all loose wires and mount the Trailer Tow Harness in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
- Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, and floor covering, ensuring no wires are pinched or cut during reassembly.
Warning:
- Overloading circuits can cause fires.
- Do not exceed the towing manufacturer’s ratings or the following specifications:
- Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
- Max. tail lights: (5.6 amps)
