Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Cover:
- Using a 10mm socket, remove 4 nuts.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to remove 3 plastic push pins.

Remove Lower Fascia:
- Remove 2 screws (1 per side) using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Remove 3 push pins using a flat head screwdriver.
- Remove the plastic fascia attachment with 1 Phillips screw per attachment. Return parts to the owner.

Lower Exhaust:
- Use an exhaust hanger removal tool to detach rubber isolators from the hanger.
- Support the exhaust before lowering.

Modify Heat Shield:
- Cut or bend the area around the rearmost stud for clearance.
- Ensure the hole in the heat shield is left intact to reattach later.

Remove Existing Hardware:
- Remove two 10mm bolts from the bulkhead on each side.

Fish Wire Installation:
- Attach the bolt and spacer block to the fish wire.
- Insert through the access hole and position hardware as required.

Install Hitch:
- Carefully raise the hitch into position without pushing hardware into the frame.
- Secure with provided hardware:
- USA Models: Use M10 bolts and 7/16” conical washers (teeth side towards hitch).
- Korean Models: Use M8 bolts and 3/8” conical washers (teeth side towards hitch).
- Tighten hardware as per torque specifications.

Trim Lower Fascia:
- Cut a 3” wide x 5” long section from the center of the lower fascia for receiver tube clearance.

Reinstall Components:
- Reattach lower fascia and plastic cover.
- Reinsert screws and push pins.

Torque Fasteners:
- M8 Fasteners: 27 lb-ft (37 N*m).
- M10 Fasteners: 42 lb-ft (57 N*m).
- 7/16” Fasteners: 50 lb-ft (68 N*m).

Raise Exhaust:
- Reattach rubber isolators to the hanger.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Kia Rio Sedan

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the trunk and temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner behind the taillights.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both driver and passenger sides, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness. The taillight wiring harness has a connection point matching the ends of the T-One® Connector.
- Separate the connector carefully, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-One® Connector end with the green wire behind the panels and along the threshold to the passenger side.
- Insert the green wire end between the passenger-side taillight socket and vehicle wiring harness.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- On the driver’s side, locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® Connector box.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the exterior frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.
Warning: Avoid routing near hot pipes, heat shields, or the fuel tank.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Mount the Black Box Module:
- Locate a flat, out-of-the-way surface and mount the T-One® Connector black box to prevent damage or rattling.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace the felt trunk liner, rear threshold plate, and any other components removed during installation.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the trunk area when not in use.
