Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Clean Weldnuts:

   • Remove any stickers or plugs covering the weldnuts on the frame rails (both sides).
   • Ensure weldnuts are free of rust and debris. Use an M14x1.5 tap if necessary.

2. Install Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position and align the holes in the hitch bracket with the frame rail weldnuts.
   • Loosely install the supplied M14 bolts and conical washers.

3. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Use a torque wrench to tighten all M14 fasteners to 89 ft-lbs (121 Nm).

• (6) Conical Washer 5/8"

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Honda Passport

• Trim Panel Remover
• 10mm & 8mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Test Probe

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Open the Rear Tailgate:

   • Open the rear tailgate to access the vehicle’s rear cargo area.

2. Remove Interior Panels and Covers:

   • Temporarily remove all floor coverings, cargo trays, and side panels in the rear cargo area to expose the necessary wiring and components.

3. Locate the Vehicle’s Tow-Plug Connector:

   • On the driver’s side, locate the tow-plug connector by removing the cargo bin and cargo hooks using an 8mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver.

4. Connect the T-One® Harness:

   • Insert the T-One® Connector harness into the vehicle’s tow-plug connector.
   • Ensure the connectors are clean, free of dirt, and securely locked in place without damaging the locking tabs.

5. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
   • If no existing ground point is available, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
   • Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

6. Mount the Black Box Module:

   • Locate a flat surface in an out-of-the-way location and mount the black box module using the provided double-sided tape to prevent damage or rattling.

7. Secure the T-One® Harness:

   • Use the provided cable ties to secure the remainder of the T-One® Connector harness, ensuring it avoids any areas where it could pinch, cut, or melt.

8. Route the 4-Flat Connector:

   • Route the 4-flat connector from below the driver’s side trim panel into the rear storage compartment for easy access when in use.

9. Install the Fuse:

   • Open the vehicle’s hood and locate the fuse box on the driver’s side near the rear of the firewall.
   • Insert the provided 20-amp fuse into position #11 labeled “Trl Charge” and close the fuse box securely.

10. Reinstall Removed Panels and Covers:

    • Reinstall all plastic trim panels, the threshold, storage covers, floor coverings, and any other items removed during the installation process, ensuring no wires are pinched or cut.
