Step-by-Step Instructions:

Install Receiver Housing:
- Unlock the blue handle using the provided key.
- Remove the receiver from the housing by pressing the blue handle and rotating it clockwise until it clicks.
- Attach the weather covers to the receiver housing.
- Secure the housing to the hitch using M12 bolts, flat washers, and prevailing torque nuts.
- Torque the fasteners to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M).

Place Warning Labels:
- Store the included warning card in the vehicle glove compartment.
- Apply one warning label to the receiver and another to the door jamb.
-
Lower Exhaust:
- Use exhaust removal pliers to remove the rubber hangers on both sides of the exhaust.
- Lower the exhaust and support it securely.
-
Remove Fascia:
- Using a 10mm socket and flat head screwdriver, remove screws and rivets from the wheel wells and bottom edge of the fascia.
- Remove trim panels and screws around the taillights.
- Gently detach the fascia with plastic trim tools, disconnecting any wiring if equipped.

Remove Bumper Beam:
- Use a 14mm socket to remove six M10 bolts securing the bumper beam.
- Retain the bolts for later use and set the bumper beam aside.

Modify Frame Access Holes:
- Use a die grinder to enlarge the access holes in the frame to fit 1/2” carriage bolts and spacers.
-
Install Hitch:
- Detach the brackets from the hitch using an 11/16” socket and save all hardware for reinstallation.
- Apply blue thread locker to all bolts.
- Use the reverse pull wire method to fishwire 1/2” carriage bolts and spacers into position.
- Attach the hitch brackets to the vehicle frame using conical washers and nuts.
- Loosely install the hitch to the brackets and frame using the retained M10 bolts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque 7/16”-14 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).
- Torque M10 fasteners to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M).
- Torque 1/2” fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).

Trim Fascia:
- Using a tape measure and marker, trim an 11” wide by 4.25” tall notch in the bottom center of the fascia.
- For models with a kick sensor, remove the sensor wiring before trimming and secure it with cable ties after reinstallation.

Reinstall Components:
- Reattach the fascia, wiring, and exhaust in reverse order of removal.
- Secure the kick sensor wiring if applicable.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the rear hatch and temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, privacy screen, storage covers, and floor covering.
- Open the rear doors and fold the rear seats forward.
-
Remove Rear Interior Panels:
- Partially remove the rear interior trim panels on both the driver and passenger sides.
- Remove the necessary trim panel fasteners to access the taillight wiring harness.
- Carefully set aside all removed items to avoid damage.
-
Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver and passenger sides, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- Disconnect the connectors carefully, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs. Clean all connector surfaces.
-
Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring harness connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are securely in place.
-
Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the connector containing the green wire along the threshold to the passenger side.
- Insert the T-One® T-Connector end with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring harness connectors.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember. Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the grounding area.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Route the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® T-Connector box on the driver’s side.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the vehicle’s exterior frame to the engine compartment, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, and pinch points.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided).
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Mount the T-One® Black Box:
- Locate a flat surface in an out-of-the-way location and mount the black box module using the provided double-sided tape.
-
Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining T-One® T-Connector harness, avoiding areas where it could pinch, cut, or melt.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall all panels, threshold covers, and storage items removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.
-
Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
- When in use, pull the 4-flat connector through the door and close carefully, avoiding pinching the harness in the door latch.
Safety Notes:
- Overloading circuits can cause fires. Do not exceed the stated product ratings.
- Always wear safety glasses and follow all safety precautions during installation.
