Installation Instructions for 2019-Current Dodge RAM 1500
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Ratchet
- Torque Wrench
- Safety Glasses
- Sockets: 1-1/8", 3/4"
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plug:
- Remove the plug from the center of the rear bumper fascia by hand.

Insert Plate Support:
- Use a 3/4" socket to remove two hex bolts and conical washers holding the support plate on the hitch.
- Insert the support plate into the opening above the safety chain loop of the bumper beam. Keep the weld nuts of the plate support on top while inserting.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely install one 3/4" bolt with one flat washer.

Install Bolts for Plate Support:
- Loosely install two 1/2" bolts with two conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) from the bottom of the hitch into the weld nuts of the plate support.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten the 3/4"-10 x 3.00 GR8 fastener to 380 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
- Tighten the 1/2"-13 x 1.75 GR5 fasteners to 75 ft-lbs.

Install Bolt Cap:
- Install the provided bolt cap onto the head of the 3/4" bolt.

- (2) Hex Bolt 1/2"-13 x 1.75 GR5
- (2) Conical Washer 1/2"
- (1) Hex Bolt 3/4"-10 x 3.00 GR8
- (1) Flat Washer 3/4"
- (1) Bolt Cap (Black Rubber, Part No. 116133)
- (1) Support Plate
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- Replace damaged hitches or balls immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
