Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Underbody Panel:
- If applicable, use a 7mm socket and screwdriver to remove screws and plastic push rivets holding the underbody panel. Remove the panel between the mufflers.
- Return the panel to the vehicle owner or trim to fit and reinstall. Note: Extensive trimming may be required.

Lower Exhaust:
- Using a 10mm socket, remove the bolt from the exhaust hanger on the outboard side of the frame rail. Push the hanger up and outward to remove it.
- Use exhaust hanger removal pliers to remove the rubber exhaust hanger near the rear differential. Support the exhaust to prevent damage.

Remove Heat Shields:
- Use a 10mm socket to remove nuts and a 7mm socket to remove screws holding the heat shield. Remove the shield and cut a 1.5-inch hole forward of the center attachment for the hitch. Retain fasteners for reinstallation.

Remove M16 Bumper Bolt:
- Using a 21mm socket, remove the bumper bolt from the bottom of the frame rail and retain it for reinstallation.

Remove Rearmost Fascia Fasteners:
- Remove plastic push rivets from the rearmost lower edge of the fascia.

Remove Kick Sensor (if applicable):
- Use a 1/4-inch drill bit to remove the four rivets holding the kick sensor in place.

Trim Fascia:
- Move the kick sensor aside to avoid damage during trimming.
- Locate the center of the fascia and trim as per Figure 3. Dimensions are approximate.

Install Hitch:
- Using the supplied pull wires, insert carriage bolts and spacers into the vehicle frame through the center attachment. Ensure weldnuts are clean.
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning holes in the hitch bracket with the frame rail weldnuts.
- Guide pull wire ends through the hitch bracket holes. Loosely reinstall M16 bumper bolts removed earlier.
- Remove pull wires, and install conical washers (teeth side toward hitch) and nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all M16 fasteners to 146 lb-ft (198 Nm).
- Tighten all 1/2-inch fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 Nm).

Reinstall Modified Heat Shields:
- Reinstall the modified heat shields over the hitch brackets using the retained fasteners. Reinstall fascia fasteners.

Reinstall Exhaust and Kick Sensor:
- Reinstall the kick sensor. Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall all hangers and fasteners.

Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Check hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- Replace a damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe all safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle.
