Specifications:

• Max Gross Trailer Weight: 2,000 lb.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prepare Vehicle:

   • Remove the spare tire from the trunk.

2. Remove Muffler Bracket:

   • Remove the (2) M8 fasteners securing the muffler bracket to the frame rail.

3. Bend Heat Shield:

   • Bend the heat shield upward at the rear of the muffler bracket, as shown in Figure 1.

4. Position Hitch:

   • Position the hitch on the vehicle with the bent bar on top of the tow hook (see Figure 3).
   • Sandwich the hitch bracket between the vehicle frame rail and muffler bracket.
   • Reinstall the M8 fasteners and washers.

5. Drill Holes in Trunk Pan:

   • Using the hitch as a template, drill two (2) 1/2” holes in the trunk pan.

6. Install Fasteners:

   • Insert the 1/2” x 2.25” GR5 carriage bolts, blocks, lock washers, and nuts as shown in Figure 2.

7. Reinstall Spare Tire:

   • Place the spare tire back into the trunk.

8. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Torque all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft.
   • Torque all 1/2” GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft.

1. Using a circuit tester, carefully probe one wire at a time to determine vehicle functions.

4. Locate a suitable grounding point.

5. Mount the circuit-protected converter near the left tail light in the trunk or on the frame rail under the vehicle.

   • Attach the ground lead of a circuit tester to the exposed ground terminal of the 4-flat end.
   • Activate the tow vehicle’s left turn, right turn, tail, and stop lights one at a time. Test each to confirm proper functionality.

8. Secure all loose wires with cable ties.
