Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Vehicle:
- Remove the spare tire from the trunk.

Remove Muffler Bracket:
- Remove the (2) M8 fasteners securing the muffler bracket to the frame rail.

Bend Heat Shield:
- Bend the heat shield upward at the rear of the muffler bracket, as shown in Figure 1.

Position Hitch:
- Position the hitch on the vehicle with the bent bar on top of the tow hook (see Figure 3).
- Sandwich the hitch bracket between the vehicle frame rail and muffler bracket.
- Reinstall the M8 fasteners and washers.

Drill Holes in Trunk Pan:
- Using the hitch as a template, drill two (2) 1/2” holes in the trunk pan.

Install Fasteners:
- Insert the 1/2” x 2.25” GR5 carriage bolts, blocks, lock washers, and nuts as shown in Figure 2.

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- Place the spare tire back into the trunk.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft.
- Torque all 1/2” GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft.
