Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Ford Mustang Mach E

- Trim Panel Remover
- 8mm Socket & Ratchet or 8mm Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
- Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Rear Hatch:
- Remove the driver’s and passenger’s side taillights. Start by removing the round covers (two per side) that cover the taillight bolts using a panel puller.
- Use an 8mm socket to remove the two bolts on each side.
- Carefully pry the taillight away from the vehicle and set it aside.

Route the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Underneath the driver’s side of the vehicle, route the harness containing the yellow wire through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body into the driver’s side taillight pocket.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted, and the locking tabs are engaged.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.
- Ensure the epoxy side of the module is pointed downward to prevent water buildup.
- Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or damage the wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the harness containing the green wire underneath the vehicle to the passenger side.
- Feed the wire up through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body into the passenger’s side taillight pocket.

Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring connectors and lock it into place.

Route the Power Wire:
- Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® Connector black box.
- Attach the provided black wire and route it along the exterior frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, and fuel tanks.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided).
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable and install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining harness, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reinstall the Taillights:
- Reinstall the taillight housing assemblies and any other items removed during installation.
- Ensure the vehicle wiring harness is positioned correctly between the housing and the vehicle body.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
